There Is No Race

Sorry for the quick email but this thing hit me like a ton of bricks this morning! I just observe people rushing everywhere and it makes ME anxious!

"Can't talk...gotta run!"

"Ugh...I'm in back to back meetings all day!"

"Maybe we can get the families together in... November?"

"We'll be outta town all weekend for my 6 year olds travel hockey tournament....guess this is my life now?!"

WTF? Why is everyone so rushed? Just running in all directions at once and actually achieving nothing and feeling burnt out at the same time?!

I have a thought that people think life is a race and the more they do, the faster they do it ...the better...and I gotta tell you...I have no interest in that race...I ain't running it.

Stop rushing...you're missing the most important things in life that are right in front of you everyday....the people!!!

When you jam pack your day with meetings...how helpful are you even being to the people in the meetings?!?

When you have run your kids to 17 different activities...how present are you with them?

When you're always on the run...you are never present.

Stop running...there is no race...there is no winner...there is just the moment in front of you right now...just slow the fck down and notice it!

Have a smooth day,

Marc ☕️
